About the Al-Amir collection

Al-Amir Designs is a premium men's thobe and women's abaya brand founded in 2017 and based in Frisco, Texas. Every piece in the collection is hand-cut and hand-sewn by a single family tailor in Pakistan, who has worked with us for more than 25 years. We do not run a factory line. Each thobe and abaya is finished by the same hands, in small runs, so the cut, drape, and stitching stay consistent across the line.

Our thobes are also known as kandura, jubba, or dishdasha. Sizes are numbered by length in inches, from 26 to 60, so a Size 56 thobe is 56 inches long from the back of the neck to just above the ankle. Pricing is tiered by size: sizes 26 to 38 are $39, sizes 40 to 48 are $50, and sizes 50 to 60 are $65. We offer five core silhouettes: the foundational Dawood with subtle calligraphy detail, the everyday Adam classic, the active-cut Hamza, the short-sleeve hooded Murad, and the in-house custom-designed Uhud.
